We Must Take English Course

The most important course in this world is English course. Many people can not work in the big foreign company because of they can’t speak and write English fluently. I have experienced the course, and I am ready to explore something new. I prefer take English course because it can improve my English skill and make a better future.
Most importantly, you can get many advantages if you take an English course. Taking an English course can improve your English. When you haven’t take an English course, your English is not good enough and you can not speak fluently. But, when you come to an English course, you can increasing your ability in speaking English. Moreover, You can increase your vocabulary and grammar, so, from those new vocabulary and grammar, little by little you can speak better. In English course, the environment are supporting you to speak English because the teachers and other students use English to communicate. When you feel your English is not good than your other friends, you will try hard to practice it again until you can speak well. You have enthusiasm to learn English because you want to show that you must be can as well as them. If your English is not quite enough, your teacher will help you to speak English better.
Take English course also make a better future. People who take English course can communicate with other people when they are in a foreign country. They will easy to get a job in there. Moreover, English course make possible for us to have new knowledge from the teachers. They will tell about their experiences and it’s very useful for our life.
Some people said that English course is not important, because they can get a good job without English skill. However, this idea is illogical. English is an international language and we must mastered it if we don’t want to considered as a stupid person. Some people looks smarter when they speak English. Moreover, even the doctor is doesn’t look as smart as reporter who must be have English skill. Predictable, take English course much better for our life and future.
In conclusion, the choice for me is easy; take English course is improving my English skill and make a better future.

We Must Speak English All the Time

We can conquer the world with English. English language is very important because almost all of the people and communication tools use English. If you want to use Computer or Internet, you have to know at least in basic English. Because of that, it is good if you can speak English all the time.
Most importantly, you have to speak English all the time because it can improve your speaking skill. As we know, English be the most important thing. It can be seen if you want to apply a work application, in requirements must be written “You have to good in English written and oral”. It is proved that now a days you have to have English skill, if you want to have a good job. One way to be able to speak English fluently is you have to speak English all the time. If you can speak English all the time, you can be used to speak in English. There is a proverb saying that “ experienced is the best teacher”. So, if you have experienced to speak English, you absolutely can speak English fluently and can improve your speaking skill.
Entering the era of globalization every individual must be prepare resources that are reliable, especially in the fields of science and technology. To be able to master the technology required by both adequate knowledge so that we can use it in the face of a globalized world demands that the terms of competition. In this case the role of English is needed both in controls and communication technology to interact directly. As a means of global communication, English should be actively controlled by both oral and written. It is not impossible that te rapid technological developments require us to be more proactive in responding to global information flows as an assets in meeting the needs of the market. As the world’s lingua franca, English is not only as an academic requirement for mastery of knowledge is limited to aspects of language but as a global communications medium. You might think that many sites are translated into Indonesian. But in fact, 80% of electronis information is only available in English. While 20% of the others was not entirely dominated by Indonesian, but also non-English foreign language, like Chinese, Japanese, French and so forth. So imagine just how many percent of all information on the internet are presented in the Indonesia language. So, if you know the global information, you have to be master in English. How to be a master in English? I think the best way is you have to used speak English all the time.
Some people said that, if you used English in daily life there are many people who likes to tease us. Actually, we want to practice our English skill. But, the environment is not support us and also there are more friends who ridicule us if we use English. Because, we are ridiculed and then we will be down and lazy to use English. I think, if there is a person who ridicule you because you use English, you do not have to think about that. They do that because they are envious with us because we can use English in daily life bravely.
In conclusion, we have to be master in English if we want to have a good job and follow global socialitation. The best way if want to be a master in English is we have to speak English all the time.

Free Topic 10

Winter in Tokyo. That’s one of Ilana Tan’s novels. I’ve read it several weeks ago. The genre of the novel is romantic with Tokyo as the setting. It’s published in 2008 by Gramedia Pustaka Utama.

This novel is tell about an Indonesia-Japan girl named Ishida Keiko that work as a Librarian. She meet Nishimura Kazuto, a photographer from New York, when he move to Keiko’s apartment. They falling in love each other but, no one of them tell their feeling until Kazuto become amnesia.

The conflict comes when Kazuto do not remember about Keiko and his first love named Akira. She fell in love with Akira because he ever help Keiko to looked forher necklace when she in elementary school. Actually, the person who helped Keiko at the time is not Akira, but Kazuto. So, the true of Keiko’s first love is Kazuto, and she know it after Kazuto told her.

  I think, this novel is so interesting. The story line is simple but it’s make me never forget it. The author, Ilana Tan, make the story easy to understand. We do noty need to read twice because, we can understand the story with once reading.

Smoking is suck a dry tobacco which is burned. The person that smoking is man. They usually smoke after eat or when they are chatting with another mans. There are many kind of cigarette, such as Star Mild, Djarum 76, Sampoerna Hijau, and many more. The price ia also varies. Usually, price of one set cigarette is Rp. 10.000,00 to Rp. 20.000,00. It’s very expensive for the price of one set cigarette.

I confuse, what is the advantages of smoking. In my opinion, smoking is just make our body unhealthy. It’s also means throw our money for something useless. In Indonesia itself, prohibiting act for smoke is not effective. Although, it has already forbade, but, there are many people still smoke in public place. Probably, the Indonesian government mut following prohibiting act for smoke of Singapore’s government.

In Singapore, the price of one set cigarette is more expensive than Indonesian cigarette. Not all of the shop sell cigarette. It’s not only that, the government also placed CCTV on some big roads. So, if there is people who smoke in there, the police will be catch them. And the regulation, decrease smoker in Singapore successfully.

K-Pop or Korean Pop is the music industry in Ginseng country, Korea. There are some boybands and girlbands which is formed by some artist managements. Since several years ago, boyband and girlband had already “damaged” suffered by time. Korea is the first country that make a singer formatted as a group after the music industry in this world dominance by bands.

In 2005, Korean boyband and girlband still didn’t famous yet. Many people in Asia, included Indonesia, prefer to watch Korean drama than listen to Korean music. But now, fans of Korean pop is so many. It’s not only in Asia, but in Europe and America, too. Why they like Korean pop? The answer is simple. Because the song of their boyband and girlband is very easy listening. The quality of their voice and dance is good. Their appearance is also interesting to see. Of course, it’s because of the plastic surgery that they do before debuted as a singer.

I begin to like Korean pop when I entered university. My friend introduced me about that. And now, I become a fans of a famous Korean boyband, Super Junior. They have a good performance in the stage although they have 13 members. Their song, Sorry Sorry, became a popular song in 2009. Because of the song, many people in this world begin to like Super Junior.

FATE. This is the 11^th of Orizuka’s novel. Fate is tell about a Korea family’s life in Indonesia. Jang Dae-Gwan, a success businessman, have two son named Jang Min-Ho and Jang Min-Hwan. Min-Ho is his legal son from hisa wife, temporarily, Min-Hwan is his son from a prostitute woman in Korea. Min-Ho and Min-Hwan separated during several years. Min-Hwan live in Korea with his mother.

Min-ho and Min-Hwan meets again after their father died. They come to their father;s house to listen about inheritance letter from Jang Dae-Gwan. The letter asked Min-Ho and Min-Hwan become a successor of their father company together. So. Min-Ho and Min-Hwan must go to university for business study. Min-Hwan have a  persistent character since he drive away by Jang Dae-Gwan when he was child.

A bad relationship between Min-Ho and Min-Hwan getting well by Adena, a daughter of head servant in their house. In the beginning, Adena loves Min-Ho. She haven’t bravery to tell about her feeling to Min-Ho until she fall in love with Min-Hwan. The conflict comes when Min-Hwan find some letters from his mother to his father. That’s the true secret. Min-Hwan return to Korea because he feel beaten. The conflict calm again when Min-Ho and Adena follow Min-Hwan to Korea and they tell to Min-Hwan that they will considered Min-Hwan as their family.

The story line in this novel is interesting enough. But, the end of the story seems suspend.

Yesterday, my father invited me to a bakso restaurant. At the moment, I just go down from the train and my father picked up me at the train station. I’m very hungry, so, he offered me to eat chicken porridge or bakso. I chose bakso because, I had already ate chicken porridge as my breakfast.

When I look some meat ball in my bowl, I remembered something. It’s called embarrassment moment. At the time, I still study in elementary school and I’m 8 years old. I remembered, at the moment, I’m very hungry and I want to eat bakso. I heard a sound of bowl that knocked with spoon in front of my house. I guessed that it must be bakso seller with carriage. So, I called my mother and pulled her hand to bought me a bowl of bakso.

When I went out with my mother, I only saw some children that brought a bowl and spoon. They screamed, “Bakso! Bakso!” with laughed. I can’t believed that I just cheated by the children. They saw me brought a bowl and they laughed directly. I feel embarrassed at the time. So, I ran away to my bedroom and cried. I never forget about the moment. Now, I just can smile and laugh when I remember it.

June, 4^th 2011 ia a bad and good day for me. Why I can say that? Because, on the day, my favourite Korean boyband, Super Junior, held on a concert in Senayan and I can’t watch it. Because of that, I decided to stalked them in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. I hope, I can see them in there. At 9 a.m, I had already arrived in Blok M to meet some friends who want to go to airport, too. We ride from Blok M to airport with Damri bus.

At 11 a.m, we arrived in airport. We took a comfortable place behind the fence terminal 2 arrival. We waited one of Super Junior’s member, Lee Donghae, because he comes from Taiwan. So, he comes first at 1 p.m. when I bought bread and drink in a food shop in the airport, my friend called me and said that Lee Donghae was came. I ran away quckly out from the shop. On arriving there, I saw Lee Donghae wave his hand to his fans in there. He smiled so sweet. I screamed his name loudly. My body feel pliant after he get out  from airport. I can’t believe that I just saw my favourite member of Super Junior.

But, it’s not long away. When I waited Super Junior’s arrival during 1 hour, a security  told that Super Junior was arrived in Senayan. They passed terminal 1 for avoided their many fans in airport. I feel really sad. I just want to see their face, not to make them unlucky. Because of the day was dark, my friends and I decided to stay in airport till morning comes. Although my body was hurt, I never regret to do the same thing another day.

Spring in London. It’s the fourth of Ilana Tan’s novel after Summer in Seoul, Autumn in Paris, and Winter in Tokyo. Several days ago, I bought it in Gramedia book store. The same as her another novels before, Spring in London tell about a woman and a man that meets by their past story.

Naomi Ishida is a model and she live in a flat with her friends in Lonodn. She meetes Danny Jo when they starring a music video of Jung Tae-Woo. Since meet at the first time, Naomi avoided Danny Jo. She always looked scrae when Danny approached her. However, it’s didn’t make Danny surrender, in the contrary, he more curious with Naomi. He want to know the reason of her avoided.

Danny Jo approached Naomi successfully. Naomi feel cpmfort when Danny stand beside her. Danny isn’t make Naomi scare again. But, Danny still didn’t find the reason why he make Naomi scare. The conflict comes when a friend of Danny’s bother meets Naomi in a party. He want to injure her with reminded her about Danny’s brother, Jo Seung-Ho. The secret revealed slowly. Jo Seung-Ho ever “soiled” Naomi in the past, until she feel that her body is dirty. So, she never want Danny approach her. Danny already know about the secret. But, because he was fall in love with Naomi, he didn’t keep away Naomi.

Except singing, reading, and listening to music, I also have another hobby. That is cooking. I usually cook on the holidays. I do not cook by myself, my mother accompany me. She informs the food salty or not because sometimes, my tongue difficult to differentiating delicious or not the food I make.

I usually cook menus in the receipt book. I ever try to make “Kangkung Kuah Soun”. I practice it like in the receipt. I cut kangkung with its stem. Then, I shop the chicken. After all of the material clean, I peel some garlics and then chop it. I pour hot water to a bowl of soun noodle till it’s change withered.

I heat frying oil on the frying pan and then stir-fry the garlics. I pour the water on it. After the water boiled, I put the chicken and wait until the chicken cooked. After that, I put the kangkung and stir it. I adding salt, sugar, broth, and pepper on it. Before I off the gas stove, I put the soub boodle and then stir it. Now, the food ready to eat.

I make “Kangkung Kuah Soun” that means many times. My family never complain about tha taste. With the other words, my Kangkung Kuah Soun is always delicious.

Train is one of public transportations. If you want a practical transportation to go to your destiny place, use train. Because, train have a cheap price. Rp. 1.500,00 until Rp. 8.000,00. There are some kind of train. Economic Langsam, Economic KRL, AC KARL, and Express. I usually used economic KRL which is priced Rp, 1.500,00 to went to my college everyday. Economic KRL stopped in each train station and the last stop is in Tanah Abang. Because of my college is in Ciputat, so, I went down on Pondok ranji train station and then I use a public car to in front of my college.

Before I use train to go to my college, I use public car first. The price is Rp. 7.000,00 from my house. I feel that it’s very decrease my money because I must use the public car, go ang leave. It means, I must spend my money Rp. 14.000,00 everyday. That is the reason why I prefer to use train than public car to go to the college. It’s because of the price.

Except that, use train is also practical. Both from the price side and time. If I went to my college needs almost 2 hours with public car, I just needs 45 minutes with train. This is so help me to spend the time efficiently on the road. Although, I must jostle to the passengers another sometimes, I still prefer to use train if I went to the college and other destinies.

Television is a system for transmitting visual images and sound that are reproduced on screens. At the beginning, television’s screen have black and white. But, along with development of period, television have many changes. Now, we can see many kind of television’s type, from the slim type until television that is can use like DVD player and computer.

There are some program on television, for example, sinetron, quiz, music, and many more. Some of thet was showed didn’t fix with the time. Like sinetron, some of tv station in Indonesia showed its after 6 p.m. it should be don’t. there are many still children do not sleep yet at that time. And of course, if there are not another program for children on television, they will watching sinetron like their parent. That’s the reason why there are so many children have adult character before they are really adult.

It’s not only that, sinetron is also give “love knowledge” for children. Many kind of sinetron showed a love story. And of course, it’s very bad for children. Sinetron should be showed on the times when many children already sleep. Like Korea. Eventhough, in their dramas always there are kiss scene, they showed the drama only 2 days everyweek and showed when the children sleep. So, there are not children that watching drama.

Last year, one of private television in Indonesia, RCTI, created a battlefield of talent seeking named Indonesian Idol 2010. This program is adapted by American Idol. This is a battlefield for singing. The winner will receive a hundred million and a car from the sponsor.

According to support from my family and my friends, I decided to followed the contest. They valued that I have a good voice. After I put in a list as the finalist by wesite of In donesian Idol, I decided to went to audition place in Integrity Convention Center, Kemayoran. At the moment, I just want to know the route in order I do not lose on the audition day. I invited my friend, Laili, to accompanied me, because she’s afraid would arrived in her house in the evening, so, she just accompanied me until Senen.

After I separated with Laili in Senen, I tried to went to ICC by myself. I rode a metromini and asked the driver to stopped the bus in Mega Glodok Kemayoran. But, the driver just to pointed at the building without stopped the bus, so, I went down in the last bus stop. Finally, I must rode a metromini again to ICC. On arriving there, I asked a taxi driver where is ICC. After that, I entered Mega Glodok Mall and found the audition place.

On audition day, my parent didn’t gave their permission suddenly. They said that I must have friend to accompanied me because, Kemayoran is so far from my house. At last, I failed to followed the contest.

My Childhood

             Actually, I’m not too remember about my childhood. But, I still remember a few of that. I was born in Ngawi, East Java and I live there until I’m five years old. I move to Ciputat with my parent. I entered school in Bakti Nusa Indah kindergarden. During I’m in kindergarden, I had already followed a choirs competition and I got the first winner. The jury gave me a trophy and I still saved it in my bedroom.

After passed from the kindergarden, my parent brought me back to Ngawi and I school in II Kendal State Elementary School. I must adapted with the new domain. The societies didn’t spoke bahasa, so, I must learn Javanese in order to get many friends in the school. I always got big five when I studied in II Kendal State Elementary School, and it’s make my parent proud of me.

During I studied in II Kendal State Elementary School, I got some friends. But, I feel one of them always do she’d own will. She often commanded me, begin from took her pencil until bought her a snack when we were in break time. I feel fed up with her behavior. So, when my father invited me to moved to Tangerang, I really happy.

Now, if I remembered about that, it was proved become an impressive experience. At least, I have an experience in my childhood that I never forget.

My Sweet Room

I have a favourite room in my house, that is my bedroom. There are a big bed with two pillows, two bolsters, and two blankets (because I still sleep with my little brother), a cupboard contains my clothes, a desk for study contains many books, and a television. I’ve designed my bedroom by myself. From the placement of the furnitures, until the colour for the wall. I choose blue for my bedroom because I love blue so much. Except that, I also placed a fan on the canopy, a Super Junior’s calendar, and my parent wedding’s picture.

When I cried, I have a favourite corner in there. That is beside the study desk. I usually take my bolster and hug it to hide my face which is full of tears. My bedroom have one window with green cutain. I can see my home terrace from there. I also can see my neighbor’s house. Although my bedroom not large, I’m very comfort to completed my free time in there. I can singing loudly, dancing when I feel stress, and of course doing all of my want. If everyone say, “My house, my palace”, I will say, “My bedroom, my palace”.

My Middle Test

Middle test is a test that is do in the middle semester of study. It’s usually use half of the material.  Today, I have a writing middle test. There are some questions about sentences, run-ons, fragments, and appositives. I can do all of the questions. But, in appositive, I difficult to finish it because, I’m not understand it yet. So, I just do some of appositive’s questions.

In this middle test, the most test that I difficult to finish is writing test. It’s need an extra accuration. I think, writing test is the same as structure test because, these are about grammar in English. Actually, the questions is simple, even structure test more difficult to finish than writing. But, I don’t know why, this writing test seems so hard for me. So, I do not hope that I will get the best score for this test. I guess, it will be 60.

My Hope for English Literature in the Future

I decided to choose English literature because, there wasn’t another choice for me to choose other department in my university. But, actually, when I was thirteen years old, I had already decided to take English literature as my department.

Now, when I’m in English literature. I have some hopes for that. I want the department can improve my skill. During this, English literature in State I slamic University of Jakarta has already give the best its service for the students. But, there are many things must be repair. If they want bahasa Indonesia as a university subject, it’s better give for student on semester 1 or 2.

I also hope that the employee have more professional when they’re works. They must have more listen to the student’s aspiration because, the people that is more can feels about the department is not other people, but, the students. So, if we want to advance English literature, the employee and the lecturers must have to listen what’s the student says.
